Day 1: Welcome to Tibet – Arrive in Lhasa, Experience a Traditional Tibetan Greeting, and Begin Gentle Acclimatization at High Altitude
Upon arrival in Lhasa by flight or train, you will be warmly greeted by your local Tibetan guide and transferred to your hotel.
Airport → Lhasa city: ~70 km (~1.5 hrs)
Train station → Lhasa city: ~25 km (~30 mins)
On the way, enjoy views of the Yarlung Tsangpo River (Brahmaputra River) and Lhasa River, flowing through the wide valley surrounded by mountains.
After hotel check-in, the rest of the day is free for rest and altitude adjustment. If feeling well, take an evening walk to Potala Square for night views of the illuminated Potala Palace.

Day 2: Lhasa – Discover the Ancient Scholarly Traditions of Drepung Monastery and Witness the Famous Philosophical Debates at Sera Monastery
Explore the great monasteries of Lhasa and experience Tibetan Buddhist culture.
* Lhasa → Drepung Monastery: ~10 km (~20–30 mins)
* Drepung → Sera Monastery: ~5 km (~15–20 mins)
Visit Drepung Monastery, one of Tibet’s largest monasteries, known for its grand halls and monastic learning tradition.
In the afternoon, continue to Sera Monastery, famous for its lively monk debate sessions (3–5 pm) and traditional Buddhist arts.
